Easter is on its way and we are really looking forward to it. We love it as an excuse, I’m sure everyone does, to eat far too much chocolate. My son and husband will be receiving Easter Eggs on Easter Sunday. I will not as I have given up sugar and I think if I did eat something like an Easter Egg it might make me very sick. So instead I have found five chocolate recipes and if you’re like me maybe you can give these a try this Easter. Although, you could just try them for the health benefits of raw cacao powder.
Raw cacoa powder in an anti-inflammatory that aims to reduce inflammation in the body. Inflammation can lead to heart disease, cancer, aging and many other conditions. Cacao powder is quickly becoming known as an anti-inflammatory super food. Chocolate contains targine, an amino acid that works as a natural sex enhancer for both men and women. It actually increases blood flow to your sexual organs which has been proven to help in the bedroom (or any other room of your choice!).
Eating cacao powder can be very good for the body when eaten as part of a healthy diet. However, the chocolate that is bought at Easter from the shops is sadly not the same. Chocolate that has a high sugar content generally means the body doesn’t absorb the nutritional value of the chocolate and just absorbs the sugar. Plus, this type of chocolate has been heated to such a high temperature that there are not many nutrients left. For me, it’s much better to have the raw cacao powder and these five recipes are amazing. Well worth a try.
- Cinnamon and Nutella Energy Balls
- Mint Choc Chip Smoothie
- Choc Cherry Pies
- Hozza’s Hot Chocolate
- Brazilian Chocolate Orange Biscuits
So these five fantastic recipes are a great way to enjoy your Easter. If you’re like me and can’t eat the chocolate on offer in the shops or just want to give these recipes a try then be my guest. They are very simple and easy recipes to follow. A few of these recipes also make brilliant presents so if you know someone like me then these might make the ideal gift this Easter. However you decide to eat them, as always, enjoy.
