In 2018 I have decided that I will be writing a recipe book. I have been inspired by a friend to write. My lovely husband Howard and friends have also been suggesting that I write a book for a while now. At first I didn’t really know how to write the book but thanks to my friend I have an idea. So I’m really excited to announce that I will be writing my dad’s recipes.
My father sadly passed away in April this year and I have been meaning to make more of his recipes. For me, my dad has always been my inspiration and he was the main cook in the house. My mum can cook but it’s not one of her strengths. My dad however, loved to cook and I really enjoyed the food he cooked at home for us. It was not only his hobby but a passion. As I have mentioned before in a thank you letter to him, I remember watching him in the kitchen preparing and cooking dinner. He would escape into a world of his own in the kitchen and he would make the most delicious dinners.
So I am going to put all of the meals I can remember into a book along with the memories I have of him. Although I will be putting a healthy twist on the recipes as my dad did love his filthy food too. I am going to self publish the book. I want to use an online publisher like Amazon or I thought I could use a crowd funding site like Unbound. I’m really eager to start and I will be testing the recipes on my blog. So be sure to look for them when I post on here. I would really appreciate feedback too.
To be honest, I may even start writing the book before 2018. All I know is I now have the inspiration and excitement inside to start writing. I just want to say thank you to my friends who have inspired and suggested I write a cookery book. Plus a big thank you to my husband who when I told him I was going to write a cookery book in 2018 said ‘I know I keep telling you, you should write one.’ Well there is definitely a book on its way now.
Please feel free to like, comment or subscribe to my blog or in the New Year just buy my book. Thank you! xxx
