Honey, Tomato and Ginger Roast Gammon Ham – Video Version

Honey, Tomato and Ginger Roast Gammon Ham

My husband Howard and son Ted love cheese, ham and pickle sandwiches. Honestly I don’t begrudge them eating these sandwiches either. Although, I have noticed the ingredients that go into the ham. Personally I’m not a fan so I decided to look for alternatives.

Instead of buying the ham from the supermarket I thought I would cook one at home. The gammon from the shops still has a couple of chemicals nasties in but it’s far less than the packet ham. It’s not perfect but it’s slightly better for you. Also it’s still expensive too. Therefore I will continue my search but until then we will be enjoying this ham from now on. Below is a video and recipe for you.

Honey, Tomato and Ginger Roast Gammon Ham

Honey, Tomato and Ginger Roast Gammon Ham is a hit in our house. It was an easy dish to prepare but it was time consuming to cook. If you want to make it for sandwiches it would be good to bake this on a Sunday ready for the week ahead. It can be eaten as a meal as well. The other night we ate the ham with egg, chips and peas. All the ingredients in this dish can be frozen too. Therefore you could make a big batch and freeze it for another occasion. However you decide to eat this dish, as always, please enjoy. Thank you.
