Equipment

  • Tablespoon
  • Glass jar with lid
  • Sieve
  • Jug
  • Spoon
  • Bottle
  • Air tight glass jar

Ingredients

  • Dried rose petals x 4 – 8 tbsp
  • Vodka x 500mls

Method

  • Put the dried rose petals into a glass jar with a lid.
  • Pour in the vodka.
  • Put the lid on and store in a cool dark place for 2 – 4 week.
  • Every few days shake the jar.
  • After the time grad a sieve and a jug.
  • Place the sieve onto of the jug and pour the rose essence through the sieve.
  • Using the back of a spoon squeeze as much essence from the petals as possible.
  • Pour the rose essence into a bottle and put the lid on.
  • Put the rose petals into an air tight jar and store with the rose essence.
  • These ingredients can be used in sweet dishes and in savoury ones too.
  • So enjoy.
