Equipment
- Tablespoon
- Glass jar with lid
- Sieve
- Jug
- Spoon
- Bottle
- Air tight glass jar
Ingredients
- Dried rose petals x 4 – 8 tbsp
- Vodka x 500mls
Method
- Put the dried rose petals into a glass jar with a lid.
- Pour in the vodka.
- Put the lid on and store in a cool dark place for 2 – 4 week.
- Every few days shake the jar.
- After the time grad a sieve and a jug.
- Place the sieve onto of the jug and pour the rose essence through the sieve.
- Using the back of a spoon squeeze as much essence from the petals as possible.
- Pour the rose essence into a bottle and put the lid on.
- Put the rose petals into an air tight jar and store with the rose essence.
- These ingredients can be used in sweet dishes and in savoury ones too.
