Stomach Cleansing Smoothie

Now that summer is over I felt it was time to cleanse my stomach before winter begins. I had leftover ingredients in my fridge that I thought would be great in a stomach cleanser. Plus the mint is still growing in the garden as well. All of the ingredients are great for helping to cleanse the stomach and they will hopefully keep us healthy during the colder months too.

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Chopping board
  • Fork or juicer
  • Pint glass

Ingredients

  • Watermelon x 1/4
  • Cucumber x 1/4
  • Lime x 1 (juice)
  • Mint x 1 handful
  • Water x 1/2 pint

Method

  • Slice the watermelon in half.
  • Then into quarters and cut slices from the quarters.
  • Cut the skin away from the flesh and slice into bit size cubes.
  • Discard the flesh and put the melon cubes into the large mixing bowl.
  • Peel, slice and dice the cucumber.
  • Put these ingredients into the blender cup.
  • Next slice the lime in half and squeeze the juice in with a fork or juicer.
  • Add in the mint and pour over the water.
  • Blend these ingredients together until smooth.
  • Then serve and enjoy.

Stomach Cleansing Smoothie was a delicious drink. It was easy to prepare and make. The drink could be made and stored in the fridge overnight. Alternatively you could make it and freeze the drink too. Personally I prefer to make it fresh as it tends to taste fruitier. However you decide to eat this dish, as always, please enjoy.
