With just a handful of ingredients and almost no hands-on time, this recipe brings classic holiday flavor to your table the easy way. Makes 1 small jar
Equipment
- Slow cooker
- Sharp knife
- Chopping board
- Zester
- Teaspoon
Ingredients
- Cranberries x 400g
- Orange x 1 juice and zest
- Mixed spice 1 tsp
Method
- Place the cranberries into the slow cooker pot.
- Add in the juice and zest of the orange and the mixed spice too.
- Put the lid on for 2 – 3 hours on high or 5 – 6 on low.
- Once the cranberries start to burst the sauce is done.
- Remove the lid and leave to cool.
- When the sauce has cooled the juice will start to thicken due to the pectin in the cranberries.
- Place the sauce into the sterilized jar.
- The sauce can be stored for up to a week in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer.
- Finally serve with roast dinner and enjoy.
