
My little family and I love burgers but occasionally I like to shake things up. These Ginger and Lime Pork Burgers might just be our new favourite. Juicy pork is paired with the zing of fresh lime and the warmth of ginger, creating a burger that’s packed with flavour and feels a little bit special without being complicated. Perfect for weeknight dinners, summer barbecues, or when you simply want something a little different from the classic beef burger.

Equipment
- Sharp knife
- Chopping board
- Vegetable grater
- Fork or juicer
- Zester
- Mixing bowl
- Baking tray
Ingredients
- Lime x 1 (juice and zest)
- Ground ginger x 2 – 3 tsps
- Courgette x 1
- Flaxseed x 4 tbsps
- Pork mince x 500g
Method
- Peel and grate the courgette.
- Set to one side.
- Zest the lime and once most of the zest is removed cut the lime in half.
- Squeeze the lime with the fork or juicer into a small bowl.
- In the large mixing bowl place the pork mince and add in the courgette, juice and zest of the lime, ground ginger and the ground flaxseed.
- Sprinkle over salt and pepper to your tastes.
- Mix these ingredients together.
- Scrunch all these ingredients together with your hands.
- Once everything is well mixed together divide the mixture into four even parts.
- Now flatten the burger and make sure their is a dip in the middle of the burger.
- It will hopefully stop if from rising when in the oven.
- Put the burgers onto a plate and place the plate in the fridge for at least a couple of hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C or gas mark 4.
- Place the burgers onto a baking tray and put into the oven for about 25 – 30 minutes or until golden brown on the outside.
- Serve with chips and salad or beans.
- Then enjoy.
