- Bread knife
- Chopping board
- Small microwavable dish
- Knife for spreading
- Baking tray
Ingredients
- Butter x 20 – 30 g
- Garlic x 1 – 2 cloves
- Dried mixed herbs x 1 tsp
- Sourdough bread x 2 slices
- Cheese x 40g or more
Method
- Preheat the grill to high.
- Slice the sourdough and put it into the toaster.
- Gently toast the bread until it’s just crispy.
- Meanwhile crush the garlic in the garlic press.
- Put the garlic in the small microwavable dish and add in the butter and the dried mixed herbs.
- Place the dish into the microwave and slightly melt the butter for 15 – 20 seconds.
- Remove and mash these ingredients together.
- Once the toast has slightly cooked spread the butter mixture over it.
- Slice or sprinkle over grated cheese.
- Put the toast into the baking tray and place under the grill.
- Cook for 5 – 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Then serve and enjoy.
