5 Things I’m Looking Forward to in 2021

At the end of October / beginning of November, I always tend to feel quite sad that winter is drawing in and the current year will soon be over. This year I felt excited to finally end 2020 and start a brand new year. In the past month I have been thinking about what I would love to accomplish in the new year.

To be honest, I’m not sure how I’m going to get this done. A few of these items have also been on my to do list for a couple of years now. However if I write it down I feel like I am making steps to accomplishing these tasks. One thing that I continue to develop and grow is my blog. In the new year I’m excited to find new recipes to cook and share with you.

Back Garden vegetable Boxes

Plus this year my mum has just built vegetable boxes in the back garden and she is currently growing a couple of different vegetables. My mum once had an allotment plot in a local park. The plot was overgrown and in a matter of months mum transformed the entire plot. When she grew vegetables on the plot they always tasted so much better than shop bought vegetables. Therefore next year I’ will be looking forward to cooking recipes with mum’s homegrown vegetables.

It will probably come as no surprise to many of you but due to the ‘situation’ (covid) we didn’t get to go on holiday as a family last year. We took a short break with friends at the beginning of the year but we didn’t go anywhere else this year. Next year I’m looking forward to taking a break with my husband and son. We still haven’t booked anywhere yet but I would love to go away next year.

For the past three years it has been my aim to redecorate the house. I feel as though this house could do with a lick of paint. I have finally decided on a colour scheme for the spare room so I think I would like to start in that room first. There are a few things that need fixing in the house as well. This one will go back on my list this year for hopefully the last time.

Finally I’m hopeful that there will be no more lockdowns or surprises. Although 2020 was very uneventful it did have a fair share of unwanted surprises. Touch wood, we won’t see any more of them. Although, after the year we have just had nothing really surprises me anymore. At long last though 2020 has drawn to a close and we can look forward to a New Year again.
