
It’s time to spice up your Christmas cooking with these three homemade mixed spice blends! 🎄✨ Whether you’re adding a fiery Cajun kick to your savoury dishes, bringing a Southern-inspired warmth to your meats, or filling your kitchen with the sweet aroma of festive bakes, these easy spice mixes will elevate every recipe this season. Equipment
- Mixing Bowl
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- Stirring spoon
- Small funnel (if necessary)
- Glass jar
Ingredients for the Cajun Spice Mix
- Smoked paprika x 1 – 2 tbsp
- Cayenne pepper x 1 – 2 tsp
- Garlic granules x 1 tbsp
- Onion granules x 1 tbsp
- Dried oregano x 1 tbsp
Method for the Cajun Spice
- In a large mixing bowl add the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic granules, onion granules and dried oregano.
- How much you need will depend on how big your spice jars are. I recommend making a small amount at first then adding extra if necessary.
- Mix these ingredients together in the bowl.
- Then pour the spice into the glass jar.
- Add a tag on how to use the spices.
- Then give as a gift or use yourself.
- Finally enjoy.
Ingredients for the Southern Spice
- Mild or hot chili powder x 1 tsp
- Smoked paprika x 1 tsp
- Cayenne pepper x 1/4 tsp
- Garlic powder x 1 tsp
- Onion powder x 1 tsp

- In a large mixing bowl add the mild or hot chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic granules and onion granules.
