One of our Christmas traditions is to watch a Christmas movie on Christmas Eve. We also make popcorn and hot chocolate as well. In fact, I think popcorn and hot chocolate has become a movie night tradition. This year I decided to try chili in my hot chocolate. I have made a variety of chocolate drinks but I have never put chili one before. It was a good choice as it made the drink very warming and tasty too. I will definitely be drinking this one on Christmas Eve this year. Below is a video and recipe for you.

Equipment
- Sharp knife
- Chopping board
- Food processer
- Teaspoon
- Saucepan
Ingredients
- Crushed dried chilies x 1 pinch or mild, medium or hot chili powder x 1 tsp
- Raw cacao powder x 2 heaped tsps
- Medjool dates x 2
- Oat milk x 1 mug
Method
- Remove the stones from the dates and put them into the blender.
- Add in the crushed chillies or the chili powder, the milk and the raw cacao powder.
- Blend all of these ingredients together.
- I like to blend it twice as I find it creates a much smoother texture.
- When the ingredients are smooth pour into the saucepan and heat through.
- Once the hot chocolate is warm pour it back into the mug.
- Then serve and enjoy.

Chili Hot Chocolate is a tasty drink that I drank as a tasty afternoon treat. It was very easy prepare and cook. My husband Howard and son Ted aren’t as big fans of hot chocolate as I am so I was the only one to enjoy this drink. they prefer the popcorn we make on Christmas Eve / movie night. I thought it was delicious and as I mentioned earlier I will be drinking it at Christmas too. You could make a large batch of this drink and serve it to friends and family at a party. However you decide to drink this hot chocolate, as always, please enjoy. Thank you xxx
