
During the week or even on a busy weekends I enjoy cooking easy, flavour-packed meals. That’s why this Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Beef Wrap with Fried Onions is a must-try. Tender, slow-cooked beef coated in smoky BBQ sauce, wrapped up with crispy fried onions for the perfect combination of textures and flavours. Simple to make and guaranteed to satisfy!

Ingredients for the Pulled Beef
- Beef brisket x 500g – 1 kg
- BBQ sauce x 2 tbsp (your choice I use Dr Wills)
- Tamari or soy sauce x 2 tbsp
- Honey x 1 – 2 tbsps
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method for the Pulled Beef
- In a small mixing bowl add the BBQ sauce, tamari or soy sauce, honey and salt and pepper to taste.
- Set the sauce to one side.
- Remove all the packaging from the beef.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef.
- Put the beef into the slow cooker and pour over the sauce.
- Using your hands rub the sauce over the beef making sure all the meat is covered in the sauce.
- Put the lid on the pot.
- Turn the pot onto high for 2 – 3 hours and onto low for 5 – 6 hours.
- Once the beef is cooked and the juices are running clear from the meat turn the slow cooker off and leave to rest for 1 hour or anything up to 4 hours.
- Once rested grab the forks and begin to pull apart removing any fat as you go.
- When the beef has been pulled put it back into the pot with the juices.
- Place the lid back on and leave on keep warm.
- Meanwhile start to cook the onions.
Ingredients for the Fried Onions
- Onions x 2 large
- Oil for the pan
- Tamari or soy sauce x 2 tbsp
- Honey or brown sugar x 2 tsp
Method
- Peel and slice the onions.
- Put a frying pan onto a high heat on the hob and add oil to the base of the pan.
- When the pan is hot add in the onions and fry until they are golden brown.
- Pour in the tamari or soy sauce and add in the honey too.
- Fry until everything is sticky and caramelised.
- Serve with the pulled beef, wraps and salad.
- Then enjoy.
