Googie’s Kitchen presents Cardamon and Sweet Cinnamon Apple Crisps

Cardamon and Sweet Cinnaom Apple Crisps

When I was little my parents would always have a fruit tree in the garden. In the first house I lived in with my parents we had a pear tree. Then in the second house we had an apple tree. My dad would always stew the apples or pears in cider and store them in mason jars. He would then use what he had made to make apple or pear pies throughout the year.

My dad’s apple pie is one my brothers friends favourites. I knew when I moved out I wanted a fruit tree in our garden. We brought our apple tree when we moved into this house. It has taken about 5 or 6 years to get a bountiful supply of apples. Now I could do the same as my dear old dad but I really enjoy experimenting with food. This year I wanted to try new recipes as I have so many apples. Dried fruit is always well received here so I thought I would try these apple crisps. They were so yummy and we love them. We hope you do too. Below is a video and recipe for you.

Sweet Cinnamon and Cardamon Apple Crisps

Sweet Cinnamon and Cardamon Apple Crisps were a hit with my husband Howard and myself. My son Ted was a little less impressed by them. These would make a delicious morning or afternoon snack. They would also make a brilliant packed lunch box treat too. I ate a few of these with my morning smoothie. They were really yummy dipped into the smoothie. Breakfast is a great time for fruit so these would be nice with cereal or just as an extra. However you decide to eat these crisps, as always, please enjoy. Thank you xxx
