Vegan Banana, Chocolate, Date Split

For this recipe I combined a ripe banana, rich chocolate, and sweet dates to make this easy dessert. It’s packed with flavour and makes a wonderful healthier alternative to traditional desserts. Whether you’re enjoying it as an afternoon pick-me-up, a light dessert, or a special treat, this recipe is quick to prepare and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Serves 1

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Metal bowl
  • Bowl
  • Tablespoon

Ingredients

  • Banana x 1
  • Raspberries x 1 small handful or a berry of your choice
  • Dates x 2 – 4
  • Chocolate x 20 – 40g
  • Maple syrup x 1 – 2 tsp if using dark chocolate
  • Coconut cream x 1 – 2 tbsp

Method

  • Put the metal bowl on top of the saucepan.
  • Break up the chocolate and place it into the bowl.
  • Let the chocolate completely melt and the remove it from the heat.
  • Stir in the coconut cream and possibly the maple syrup.
  • Set these ingredients to one side.
  • Peel the banana and place it into the bowl.
  • Spread the raspberries around the banana.
  • Slice the date lengthways and remove the stone.
  • Cut the date into small pieces and mix in with the raspberries.
  • Pour over the chocolate and add a little extra coconut cream if you want too.
  • Then serve and enjoy.
