
For this recipe I combined a ripe banana, rich chocolate, and sweet dates to make this easy dessert. It’s packed with flavour and makes a wonderful healthier alternative to traditional desserts. Whether you’re enjoying it as an afternoon pick-me-up, a light dessert, or a special treat, this recipe is quick to prepare and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Serves 1

Equipment
- Small saucepan
- Metal bowl
- Bowl
- Tablespoon
Ingredients
- Banana x 1
- Raspberries x 1 small handful or a berry of your choice
- Dates x 2 – 4
- Chocolate x 20 – 40g
- Maple syrup x 1 – 2 tsp if using dark chocolate
- Coconut cream x 1 – 2 tbsp
Method
- Put the metal bowl on top of the saucepan.
- Break up the chocolate and place it into the bowl.
- Let the chocolate completely melt and the remove it from the heat.
- Stir in the coconut cream and possibly the maple syrup.
- Set these ingredients to one side.
- Peel the banana and place it into the bowl.
- Spread the raspberries around the banana.
- Slice the date lengthways and remove the stone.
- Cut the date into small pieces and mix in with the raspberries.
- Pour over the chocolate and add a little extra coconut cream if you want too.
- Then serve and enjoy.
