Porridge and eggs are my two staple foods for breakfast. I like to alternate between the two. The Buddhists believe that we should always have the same breakfast. For me, it’s a great idea as it makes my morning run smoothly if I know what I’m going to eat.
However, I also believe that variety is the spice of life and I don’t think that eating the same foods everyday is good for us. So that’s why I like to alternate between two different breakfasts. Occasionally, I will have a smoothie and on Sunday we eat pancakes made from porridge oats. Apart from that it’s eggs and porridge all the way.
Therefore to make these breakfasts slightly different everyday I will choose different toppings for the porridge and different extras for my omelettes or scrambled eggs. Since I started adding a wrap it’s easily become my new favourite breakfast. I love adding a sweet potato wrap for extra carbs and protein at breakfast. It’s so yummy and so easy to cook. Even the sleepiest cook can’t get this wrong. Below is a video on how to cook this delicious dish and the recipe for you.
