Warm Chocolate and Rose Smoothie Lovers Bowl

Roses are red, violets are blue I love this smoothie and I hope you do too!!! Smoothies are a great way to kick start the day but they also make a delicious snack for you and your loved ones. When I make a smoothie it normally for breakfast. In the winter I like to warm them through. Warmer foods in winter are better for the stomach.

The cold weather can increase the blood pressure and it may cause anxiety. Eating warmer foods in winter can help to alleviate the uneasiness. Plus rose petals and raw cacao powder can help to stabilize the blood sugar levels and relive stress. That’s why warming foods always feel soothing in winter. The smoothie is a delicious dish to have on your own but it’s even better shared.

Serves 1

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Tablespoon
  • Teaspoon
  • Saucepan
  • Stirring spoon
  • Bowl

Ingredients

  • Rose petals x 1 tbsp
  • Raw cacao powder x 1 tbsps
  • Avocado x 1/2
  • Banana x 1
  • Raspberries or blueberries x 1 handful
  • Brazil nuts x 5 or a handful of your choice
  • Flaxseed x 1 tbsp
  • Chia seeds x 1 tbsp
  • Pumpkin seeds x 1 tbsp
  • Spinach x 1 handful
  • Ground sweet cinnamon x 1 tsp (optional)
  • Coconut water or milk x 300mls (of your choice)

Method

  • Place the rose petals , raw cacao powder, avocado, banana, raspberries or blueberries, brazil nuts or nuts of your choice, flaxseed, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, spinach, ground sweet cinnamon and coconut water or milk in the blender.
  • Blend all of these ingredients together.
  • Pour the contents into a saucepan and turn the heat onto high.
  • Stir the smoothie until it heats through.
  • Pour into a bowl and add extra seeds and rose petals.
  • Serve and enjoy.

Warm Chocolate and Rose Smoothie Lovers Bowl was a huge hit with me. Yes that’s right I’m in love with myself!!! I will make this for my little family in the future but I just wanted to try it first. The smoothie was creamy, rich and very warming. The best part about this smoothie is you can make it the night before and just simply heat it up before you want to eat it.
